To gain your identity, first you must lose it.

It's the primal arc of the human journey—the movement from lost to found.

Suffering is associated with lost. Being who we are not. And the struggling to figure it out, mainly through seeking outside of ourselves.

However, it is precisely through this struggle that we, step-by-step, figure it out and step into the truth of who we are.

First, you have to lose yourself. And through the "loss," you gain. Gain knowledge of self.

But you have to want it. That is the key. You have to want to know. You must yearn for the truth.

Otherwise, we can get stuck in a drama that knows no end.
