What to give a beggar
Unless we have achieved complete mastery of self, have become a living smile—i.e., are totally at ease and content without need or worry, remember that we are all beggars to some degree.
We all attempt to manipulate and cajole the outside world to fulfill some need or desire of ours. This is poverty in its truest sense—it matters not if you have millions in the bank or travel the world in private jets.
Nevertheless, when you are approached by a beggar wanting some spare change—a temporary solution—instead of giving money, try this.
Fully see the Master inside the beggar, the unrealized potential, the diamond in the stone. See it with authenticity. Know the Master is there, that this beggar identity is temporary.
It is accomplished with a split second look in the eyes.
What happens is that when the beggar looks at you looking at their unrealized potential, the unrealized potential is awakened.
There is no greater gift you can give, as it works towards a sustainable solution.
