The condemned house

“Just look at us. Everything is backwards; everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroys information and religions destroy spirituality.” — Michael Ellner

These are the broad brushstokes for the state of the majority of human civilization.

They are particularly in focus right now and will continue to be.

We tend to conclude that this is so due to human greed and ignorance.

We need to be careful of this conclusion.

Because it gives rise to the belief in the illusion of change within our given establishments.

The importance of this point can't be emphasized enough.

And it is exactly this belief in change that the intelligent designers of those establishments want. It allows them to appease you, while they go about their business.

If you now have golden handcuffs instead of rusty old ones, that's going to feel better. That's going to feel like progress.

But your hands are still tied.

If you get upgraded to a cell with a few more sq. feet of space and a TV, that's going to make you happy. That's going to feel like progress.

But you're still in prison.

There's no use putting a fresh coat of paint on a condemned house.

If only it were a matter of simple greed and ignorance...

There is far too much intelligence in the design and execution of the establishments for them to get things so mixed up.

When we start to entertain the notion that everything is backwards according to design, then everything changes.

We let go of the fight.

We get together.

And we create new.
