Spiritual accoutrements

Meditation beads.

Tilak.

Vibhuti.

Oils.

Bracelets.

And so on.

Their common use is coming from a place of trying to get.

Trying to acquire some kind of a spiritual charge or healing for added benefit in life.

Trying to is the mark of the practitioner.

The one trying to be.

The one not realizing that they are already that.

We need remembrances though and accoutrements may help.

Eventually they are dispensed with.

Because, in truth, they are not necessary... they do not dispel ignorance of self. Only wisdom does.

If, however, the master decides to use such trinkets, it is not for personal benefit (the master by definition is impersonal)—it is a natural, outward representation of an inward artistic embodiment.
