Fortune favors the bold

We're all artists, creators in our own way.

To create is to work to make real some inspired idea inside of you.

This creativity is one of the most essential components of our humanity, one that could be nurtured by our communities and societies.

But we know that it is not. In fact, it is flat out under assault and shunned ... from birth.

We're taught to conform. Play roles. Not get out of line. Be polite. Turn the other cheek.

We're taught to plan for the future and worry about such things as careers, paying bills, retirement, health insurance and the like.

You better or bad things could happen.

For many people this scary reality causes them to stifle their own creativity, to forego personal liberty in the name of security.

They give up any dream of doing something remarkable. Creating some original. Going out on their own. Starting something new.

"What if it doesn't work out?" "How will I pay my mortgage?" "What if I don't have enough to retire?" "I'm too old."

Fortune favors the bold.

Being bold is simply acting on your inspired ideas and not worrying about the consequences. Being bold is following your calling, even if that means dispensing with the secure path of career, retirement, and so on (which isn't looking so secure anymore).

It's a path of surrender and trust, which is the path of true and sustainable security.

For some, this is realized due to years of bland and mediocre living, which becomes too excruciating to bear, as the soul screams for something more.

Others understand that there is an unseen force, you could call it something Divine, that ensures your needs get met when you choose to jump into the river and enter the flow of life.

Do not let critics both within and without rob you of your amazing power to create.
