Every day is a day less
Photo: VvillamonThere's something about endings that helps you realize truth. There's something about the end that wakes you up to what matters most.
We do not have an infinite amount of time living in this body, nor to experience life with the people we find ourselves surrounded by.
And how much more precious life becomes when we realize this beyond a conceptual understanding?
And how much more important do our dreams and unspoken wishes become?
Every day is a day less to...
Ask that girl out or that girl to marry you.
Start acting on your dream.
Do what you know would really make a difference.
Be with your family.
Take that leap you've been wanting to take.
Do you really have the time to worry incessantly about the world and all of its chaos, when every single day you march determinedly toward the ultimate end?
Do you really have a choice to be anything but compassionate, grateful, and loving toward all whom you come across?
So this day, take a look around you. Look at the people and circumstances in your life and realize that they are all there for you, there to help you and support you on your journey. And one day they will be gone.
Silently thank them.
If what you see isn't to your liking, usually looking at things with these kind eyes is enough to start a process of change.
So even though every day is a day less, it can be a day more to experience what matters most to you.
