Considering that it can be the endless source of your creativity, joy, fulfillment and even financial success, it would be an odd thing to fear.

But fear it we do.

Your gift—and we all have one—is some skill or ability, very much unique to you, that is there mainly to serve others but, interestingly, by giving it you yourself become gifted in return. 

Do you have an idea of what it is? 

Hint: it’s something that flows from you naturally and effortlessly and probably required very little learning to develop.

Such a precious thing this gift of yours is, and yet, we fear it—robbing so many of its beauty-making power.

We fear our gift so much that, in most cases, we choose not to use it, to put it aside—perhaps taking a meaningless job but one that steadily and safely pays the bills.
