5 symptoms of being in a scarcity state
Sensationalizing. In all of its forms. Creating grandiose stories, advertising or otherwise selling, the way you dress, overemphasizing. All are a form of shouting, of raising your voice to be heard. Some part of you feels inadequate and looks to the outside world for a solution.
Trying to. Also known as efforting or doing. This is the path of trying to bend reality to your will. You think something should be in your experience that isn't (money, status, etc.) and now you need to start doing something about it. Stress is typically the result (from failure) or an inflated ego/sense of "I" (from success).
Negativity. Feeling as if you don't have enough and that something has to be done is inherently frustrating, especially as you consider all that you can't do as a result of your lack. Depression, anxiety, and even attacking others can result.
Inability to receive. Somebody offers you some act of kindness or goodness and you refuse, even if it's something you need, like half a sandwhich because you forgot to bring your lunch. Having a diminished sense of self worth, stemming from a lack of self knowledge, you find it hard or scary to receive from another human being.
Pretending. Related to sensationalizing and trying to. Not really understanding your self or your value and so fearing disapproval from others, you pretend or act in such a way to gain approval from the outside world, even if the method is not in alignment with your inner sanction (i.e., saying yes when you mean no and vice versa).
And one more...
Taking. Feeling half empty, instead of half full, you are always looking to take or gain something from somebody or something. Whether it's a resource or approval, it's almost impossible to give of yourself because, after all, you don't have enough to give. We are all of us beggars until we're not.
Coming soon, symptoms of being in an abudant state.
